  • Vessel (Tank): Typically employs a U-shaped long-body tank structure formed from thick steel plates. This design ensures mixed materials (powders, semi-fluids) move with minimal resistance inside the tank while providing sufficient rigidity to guarantee the parallelism and concentricity of the mixing shaft(s).

  • Mixing Assembly: As the core component, it consists of the main shaft(s), mixing arms, and blades. The blades are often of the ribbon type, commonly designed in double or triple layers. The outer ribbon(s) gather material from both sides towards the center, while the inner ribbon(s) convey material from the center outwards, creating vortex flows that accelerate the mixing speed. The mixing arms are designed based on fluid dynamics principles, offering high strength to reduce resistance and wear during mixing.

  • Drive Components: Include the motor, gear reducer, drive shaft, etc. The motor, often via V-belts or pulleys, drives the gear reducer, which then transmits power to the main mixing shaft(s) after speed reduction. The reducer commonly uses a cycloidal reducer or gear reducer, known for smooth transmission and high torque capacity.

  • Sealing Assembly: The shaft end seal consists of a bearing housing, bearings, and a lubrication circuit, serving to support and position the mixing shaft(s). A high-pressure lubrication circuit lubricates, cools, and seals the support housing and shaft head areas, forming a sealed oil chamber to prevent material ingress and corrosion.

  • Discharge Device: For powder materials, a pneumatic large-opening gate structure is generally used, allowing fast discharge with minimal residue. For high-fineness materials or semi-fluid materials, a manual butterfly valve or pneumatic butterfly valve is typically employed.

After the motor starts, power is transmitted through the drive components to the main mixing shaft(s). The rotating shaft(s) drive the mixing arms and blades. The blades create vortex flows within the tank; materials are first gathered from the sides towards the center and then conveyed from the center back to the sides. Through this rotating, tumbling, and throwing action, materials are rapidly and uniformly mixed inside the tank. Once the predetermined mixing time is reached, the material is discharged via the discharge device.
