The Vertical Mixing and Drying Machine, also known as a Lifting Agitation Dryer or Granule Mixer, utilizes rotating mixing blades to tumble and flip plastic raw materials, achieving rapid mixing of granular materials. It is primarily suitable for mixing and coloring various plastic granules and serves as auxiliary equipment for extruders, injection molding machines, and pelletizers. The base of the plastic mixing and coloring machine can be optionally equipped with casters for easy mobility. It features enclosed mixing for safety and reliability, achieves mixing effects in a short time, and is equipped with a timer for adjustable mixing duration. It offers uniform mixing, a compact structure, an aesthetically pleasing appearance, easy assembly/disassembly, and simple cleaning.
The Vertical Mixing and Drying Machine is mainly used for mixing plastic granules of multiple colors. The equipment has two primary functions: hot air drying of plastic pellets; and uniform coloring mixing of plastic pellets with functional masterbatch and fillers. It employs rotating mixing blades to tumble plastic raw materials for rapid mixing and serves as auxiliary equipment for injection molding machines and pelletizers.
Plastic pellets enter from the feed hopper. Under the conveying force of the spiral blades, they slide upwards along the blade surface to the top. Under centrifugal force, they scatter in an umbrella shape towards the sides of the drum and continuously move downwards. The material falling from the top drops into the bottom of the mixer and automatically enters the vertical screw conveyor, where it is lifted and mixed again. This cycle repeats to achieve thorough mixing. Simultaneously, air is sent by the blower to the electric heating box, where it becomes hot air. The temperature is automatically controlled via a temperature controller, and uniform, suitable hot air penetrates between the resin particles, passes through the material layer, facilitates heat exchange, and continuously carries away moisture. The resin particles move from top to bottom, continuously swept by the hot air during descent, completing the drying and mixing process.
The mixing blades and mixing drum of the Vertical Mixing and Drying Machine are made of stainless steel, allowing for easy assembly/disassembly and cleaning. The drum body has a built-in thermal insulation layer in the middle to reduce heat loss during drying and improve efficiency. Optional heating function: Utilizes stainless steel heating rods for heating, drying plastic granules via hot air. Temperature sensors are installed in the hot air duct and drum body, with automatic control of heating temperature and duration via a PID intelligent temperature controller. Mixing power: Employs a stainless steel screw lifting drying method, featuring low mixing noise, low required drive power, and uniform mixing. The drum base is made of steel, capable of bearing significant weight of plastic raw material. An observation window on the drum allows operators to clearly monitor the drying and mixing process. The low feed inlet design significantly reduces operator workload and difficulty, improving production efficiency. The use of a time relay controls heating and mixing duration. The centrifugal fan provides substantial hot air volume, reducing energy loss in the heating section and greatly enhancing heating effectiveness.

Check if mixing blades are loose and if lubrication is adequate.

Correctly connect the power supply, open the lid, and check for any foreign objects inside the drum.

Connect the power cable according to the voltage indicated on the nameplate.

Start the machine without load to check for normal operation. Verify the rotation direction of the mixing blades is correct. Only proceed with feeding and production if conditions are met.

Check if rotating parts move freely and if there are any foreign objects inside the drum obstructing the main shaft rotation. Clean thoroughly if present.

Regularly check if the V-belts are loose. If loose, loosen the motor adjustment bolts and use special tools to move the motor outward until the V-belts are tight. Replace all V-belts if severely worn.

Install the machine separately, securing with anchor bolts if necessary.

Pay special attention to the motor rotation direction when connecting the three-phase power supply.

After starting, run without load for 2-5 minutes to confirm normal operation before feeding material.

For Mixing/Coloring Function: Switch the instrument panel’s selector switch to the coloring position. Set the desired time on the timer and the material protection temperature on the temperature controller. If the material reaches the protection temperature within the coloring time, the machine will stop and require restarting.

For Drying Function Use: Switch the selector switch on the electrical panel to the drying position. Set the desired temperature on the temperature controller. When the set temperature is reached, the machine will stop. Set the timer for 5-30 minutes for a循环 (cycle) start function to maintain material drying.

Stop Function: To stop during operation, turn the selector to STOP or press the OFF button.

Always completely disconnect the main power supply before performing maintenance or inspection.

Lubricate bearings with ZL-2 lithium-based grease weekly.

Before changing(mixed) colors, wipe all parts contacting the material with a cloth dampened with white mineral oil or diesel.

If an electrical protection fault occurs, have a technician promptly inspect, repair, and resolve the fault before restarting the machine.
